Your clothing, our printing

Get your own clothing printed

Already have the T-shirts, hoodies or caps? We check whether your logo or design can be applied to them. Send photos and fabric details first. We then agree the method, price and how to get the items to us.

Personalisation examples for guidance. We assess the suitability of your own items separately.
Before sending anything

The fabric matters too.

A cotton T-shirt, a sports jersey and a coated jacket do not need the same print. Seams, zips, existing designs and access to the print area also matter.

T-shirts, hoodies and fabric bags

Cotton and many blended fabrics are a useful starting point. We check the specific surface, fibre blend and design. A care label alone is not approval to print.

Sportswear and technical fabrics

For polyester and stretchy fabrics, we check heat sensitivity, stretch and possible colour changes in the print. A sample may be needed before we confirm a production run.

Jackets and coated fabrics

Water-repellent surfaces, membranes and linings make personalisation more demanding. Please send model details and photos. An accessible area is not automatically suitable for every method.

Caps and previously printed items

On caps, the curved shape, panel seams and peak restrict access. Existing prints cannot always be covered or removed. Show us any existing logos as well as the intended new position.

For a useful answer

Send us these details.

These details let us make an initial assessment. For unknown materials or delicate items, we discuss a sample and the testing involved with you. Please do not send items before we have agreed the next step.

  • A photo of the whole item and the area you want printed
  • A photo of the fabric and care label, plus brand and model if available
  • Quantity, colours and sizes, and whether the items are new or already worn
  • Logo or design and approximate print dimensions
  • Preferred date and whether you need collection or delivery
From assessment to print

Check first. Deliver the items next.

  1. Check the clothing and design

We look at the fabric, condition and print area. If a test is needed, we discuss it before carrying it out.

  2. Agree scope and price

Your quote sets out printing, artwork preparation, setup and any testing or shipping involved. There is no single flat price for all customer-supplied clothing.

  3. Deliver and approve

Once agreed, supply the specified items clean and dry. A quantity and size list helps us allocate them correctly. The design and placement are approved before production.

  4. Collect or have them delivered

We agree collection in Buttisholz or shipping as part of the order. We only confirm a fixed date after checking the materials, artwork and scope.

An irreplaceable item needs extra care.

One-off items, valuable jackets and fabrics with unknown coatings are not suitable for an unplanned trial. We explain identifiable risks and discuss whether a test item or another solution makes sense. We do not give a blanket guarantee of suitability or durability for every fabric.

For protective or high-visibility clothing, please specify its exact use. Additional personalisation must not alter required functions or visible protective areas without assessment.

Questions about your own clothing

Can I have just one T-shirt of my own printed?

You can enquire about a single item too. The clothing, design and work involved determine what makes sense. Artwork checks and setup do not automatically disappear because the quantity is small.

Can you print clothing that has already been worn?

We assess the individual item. Its condition, laundry treatments, residues and existing personalisation can affect suitability. Mention its condition in your enquiry and include photos.

Can I mix brands and fabrics?

Please list the models separately. Different fabrics may need different settings or methods. We assess the work per model rather than treating a mixed batch as identical.

Can you replace an existing print?

Not as a general rule. Removing or covering it may leave visible marks or may not be suitable. Send a close-up photo so we can discuss whether a practical solution exists.

What happens if the fabric is unsuitable?

Where a suitable alternative exists, we suggest another position, another method or clothing from our range. We do not start a run before feasibility has been established.

Why is there no fixed online price?

We do not yet know the surface, condition or production access on your clothing. The price also depends on quantity, design, positions and any sampling required. You therefore receive a specific quote first.

Haven’t bought the clothing yet?

It is worth choosing before you buy. Our range includes T-shirts, hoodies and caps with suitable personalisation options. We can plan the model, design and potential repeat orders together.

Bring your idea. We will work through the practical details.

Personal and local
At Fabrik4 in Buttisholz, in the canton of Lucerne, you speak directly with the workshop. Advice, graphic design and textile printing work together here. You do not need to know which technique or print file you need beforehand.
A useful starting point
Send photos of the garments and care labels, your design idea, the quantity and your preferred deadline. We first assess suitability, then discuss the work involved, possible risks and next steps.
Quality rather than guesswork
Not every material suits every decoration method. If your garment is unsuitable, we look for another position, technique or a suitable product from our range. Additional graphic design work and tests are agreed with you in advance.
Direct contact and samples in person
At Fabrik4, you discuss your project directly with Fritz, who brings advice and practical implementation together. Arrange a visit to Buttisholz to compare materials and finishes. We clarify available samples and any costs beforehand.
Confidential projects
Is your design or project not public yet? Let us know before sending sensitive documents. We agree how to handle them and what may need to be shared with production partners.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How quickly do you deliver?

Production times are shown on each product page. Contact us to arrange express production or a specific delivery date.

Delivery by post or freight carrier, or collection by appointment. Costs depend on the product, volume, weight and delivery method and are shown in your basket or quote. Bulky goods and freight shipping are charged separately.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Small quantities are possible, for example sticker sheets from 5 pieces. On-demand production and small runs let you test an idea without holding stock.

Custom print orders generally include a setup charge of CHF 35.- including VAT per order. This charge does not apply to designated club merchandise and Brand-on-Demand products.

How can I pay?

In our online shop: TWINT, credit card or Apple/Google Pay. Payment by invoice is subject to approval. For larger projects, advance payments can be arranged.

Which print files do you need?

PDF/X-4 (recommended) or AI/EPS; alternatively PNG/JPG (300 dpi). CMYK, fonts converted to outlines, 2–3 mm bleed; contour cuts on a separate path.

Print marks are not needed — we have to remove them manually. A basic file check and proof approval are included in the setup charge. Our graphic design service can prepare your print files if needed.

Complaints and returns?

Customised products are excluded from cancellation returns. If there is a defect, please contact us within 5 days with photos. We will replace the product or usually find a straightforward solution.

How can I contact you and how quickly will you reply?

WhatsApp, email or phone — whichever suits you best. We reply to you personally. Haven’t heard back? Please send us a quick reminder.
